Tipton County is a Midwestern agricultural community with a special flavor of friendliness, self reliance, stability, and conservatism, where spiritual values are high, material values are low, and human values are most precious of all. The origins of its people and their patterns of living, the character of its rich soil and its uniformly high productivity and unvarying topography, give a constancy and durability that is worth passing on to future generations.

The county will expand into new areas of economic growth by attracting businesses that compliment our strengths, while continuing to recognize that the spirit must find sustenance not only in the complexities of development, but also in the simplicities of life.

To that end, our goal is to preserve a lifestyle that contributes to a portion of the American dream, and one that Tipton County ably represents, while conjunctively creating a more diversified agricultural economy. In our job creation strategy, an agricultural technology emphasis will be added to supplement the existing jobs in the county that are related to superior agricultural production. Development linked to our agricultural assets is a compliment to the core of our heritage.
